SURPRISE!

Hello friends!

Suuuuuuuuper long time...no post.
We suck. I know. I know.

ALOT has been going on....and there will be a post to follow with some of adventures we have been on.
We went to Metallica. We went to Rochester (and saw TOOL). We threw a surprise party. We went to the lake. We met Nick Groff and Katrina Weidman (Paranormal Lockdown) and got to investigate with them in Massachusetts. Ya know...all casual things.

But today! Today we need to discuss something.

A few months ago, Christi and I finally made the leap and created our own paranormal group.
Devils Hour Paranormal.

We have created a Facebook...
Devils Hour Paranormal
We have created an Instagram...
@devilshourparanormal
We have created a Twitter...
@devilshourpara

And we are SUPER happy to announce that we will begin our own WEEKLY live podcast!
Once we have all of the information (links and such) we will be sure to update!
As of now...every Monday 8pm-9pm EST.
But tonight...we will be live 9pm-10pm EST.

Stay tuned!!!

Do You Have To Poo?

Remember how I left the last blog with things were starting to calm down for us?
Yeah...apparently I lied.
Things have definitely calmed down a bit, but we have still had an entertaining few months.

It seems as though we have struck an extremely "lucky" strip of time.

Get your drinks and snacks. Bring me a beer, too.
Ya good? Where's my beer?
Cheers.

Okay. Let me go back a bit.

I had struck gold with getting free tickets to all of the Devils pre season home games. I believe I touched on this in the last post.
Christi and I had a blast, as usual. So, we decided we wanted to go to opening night. We had a blast year, so figured this year would be a blast too. Christi ended up being able to grab $35 tickets...that were ice level and at these pretty cool tables. It was pretty epic.

This is us at the end of the "red carpet".
Midway through the game, I spotted one of the Devils players (who seems to be limbo with a contract..or basically just waiting to announce retirement) sitting in the section next to us. No one really seemed to be noticing him. I hate being that person who decides to point out someone "famous" and then starting a flurry of madness. But, I said to Christi, whenever he walked back up to the top of the section I wanted to run over and try and get a picture with him.
Well, at the end of the period he got up. I basically flipped my chair trying to run over to catch him. Apparently, I really wasn't the only person who noticed it was him. There were a few other people waiting for autographs and pictures. He, however, was not in a good mood. He never actually stopped walking to sign...and he never said anything. I felt bad, so I was going to just let it go. Christi was not. She basically stopped him and was like "Will you take a picture with my friend?" He didn't say anything, but he did stop walking and posed with me. This is why Christi is awesome. I got to "meet" a Devils player I have loved since I was a kid.

Notice his "grumpy" face.

So, we walked out of that game feeling pretty accomplished.

After that, Christi and I remembered that she had a code for 2 free tickets to a game. I took the code and went on the site. I ended up deciding that all I was worried about was how close we could get. Since the tickets for free, I figured I would use that to my advantage. We ended up sitting 4 rows behind the goal for a game the week of my Birthday. It was totally epic.

Flash forward to that Friday, my Birthday. I get a phone call from a number I know is the Devils. Usually, when they call they are just trying to sell me season tickets...so I don't answer.
They left a voicemail, so I decided to check. Ends up, I had won tickets and a pre-game tour of the arena that night. Great birthday, huh? I get to pick where my tickets are, so I decided again we should just sit as close as we can.

Then, about an hour later, Christi ends up winning too. I take her code for tickets and get as close as I can again. We ended up asking my parents if they wanted to go and use Christi's tickets. They were super excited to go.
Christi and I had to be there early...so we went without my parents. Christi usually meets me in Newark because she works close. I usually take the train. Well, I end up missing the train. I decided that I was just going to drive because I had to be there at 5...but my Aunt showed up just as I was leaving and offered to drive me down. I got there on time, and we met the ticket rep who was walking us around.
He walked us around as much as he could, ending in the penalty box.

During that game, I ended up getting a text message from another ticket rep asking me to meet him at the top of the section we were sitting in. It ended up that I had won tickets for yet another game. This time it was for a game in December...that just so happened to be Star Wars night. We decided that I should ask our friend Sloan to go, since he loves Star Wars.
About 10 minutes later, Christi gets a text message. She is asked to meet a ticket rep at the top of my parent's section. She runs over there, then proceeds to call me a few minutes later. She had won tickets to the same game, but she was also being upgraded to a suite for the rest of the game.
I ran over to meet her, and we were walked up to our suite. Pretty awesome birthday, eh?

We ended that evening meeting my cousin out for some live band karaoke. It was pretty interesting. Definitely different. Way harder to do that regular karaoke. But..we still had fun.

After that evening, I don't remember what the timeline was for any of these events, so I'm just going to go with how I am remembering them.

We went to Christi's cousin's wedding. It ended up being really fun. We went with her parents, her mom drove. We ended up dropping her parents at the church, and driving down the road and sat in a bar until the ceremony was over.
We picked them back up, and headed to the reception. It was held in a fire house, and it was actually pretty awesome.
We were told we could go wander in by the fire trucks...so naturally we did...beers in hand.
I was allowed to sit inside a truck and hit the horns. It was awesome.
Yes...I wore sneakers. Of course I did. They're my "fancy" sneakers. They're sparkly.
See..Christi wore sneakers too. 👌

Another weekend was spent on a little roadtrip up to Hinsdale, NY. We were going to be spending an evening in the Hinsdale House.
Don't know anything about it? Neither did I, honestly. I hadn't looked in to it at all until I saw an episode of Paranormal Lockdown.
(Go check it out. Read up a bit on the house. It's crazy.)
And then our friend was hosting an investigation there. We try to go out and support our friends in anything they do, so we were in for a mini roadtrip and investigation. And it turns out that we were not that far from my sister (who is in Rochester) so we planned to meet her for lunch before we drove back home.

So...the investigation was on Saturday. We decided we would just leave early on Saturday morning and drive up.
We got to the hotel, checked in, and just chilled out for a bit. There was a group of 6 of us, not including our friend hosting the event.
Once he was good to go...we all headed out to meet the owner for dinner beforehand. We went to this awesome little BBQ place.
There turned out to be a decently sized group of people for the event. I'd say about 20.
We were given a brief history of the house and land...and then split up in to 2 groups. We ended up starting out inside, and the other group went outside.
Now...a lot happened that night. I know the world is full of skeptics. (I am a skeptic...I believe...but I question EVERYTHING. I like to call myself a skeptical believer.) There are things that happened that night that I cannot explain away....and believe me I would if I could.
The only one that I am going to touch on right now is what happened upstairs.

But before we get to that, I'm laughing right now just thinking about this moment. We were sitting in the living room doing a spirit box session. One of the people helping run the event started saying her stomach was hurting. She got up and walked over by the door where the owner was standing. Without skipping a beat...he goes..."Do you have to poo?" It was the most honest, and absolutely hilarious, question ever. We all laughed pretty hard.

Okay..back to what I am going to touch on...
There were about 10 of us upstairs. 6 of us were in this small bedroom. There were 3 of us on the bed, one by the door, one in front of the bed, and one directly in front of me next to the bed. Our friend was standing outside the bedroom asking some questions and trying to get responses from either a spirit box or through EVP. We were all sitting still on the bed. Out of nowhere my neck started to feel warm. I dismissed it for a bit. Then it started to get more intense so I started just saying out loud "My neck is hot." I said it 3 or so times...and then finally I couldn't take it. I said louder "My neck is really hot!" and that finally alerted someone. Christi walked over and told me to turn around. She looks and just goes, "UH SEAN!" and doesn't tell me what's up. Sean, our friend running the event, comes over and is like DUDE! Then proceeds to have everyone look and I'm standing there like UM WILL SOMEONE TELL ME WHATS GOING ON?! Christi takes a picture and shows me.
I know this world is full of skeptics...I know most of you won't believe this. I have ZERO explanation. I didn't touch my neck. I was sitting surrounded by people who would have seen me do it. No one near me touched me. I was wearing a hoodie...it couldn't have been scratched. My necklaces could not have done it. I really have no explanation. It wasn't there before I went in. And it ended up blistering a bit by morning.
Again...no explanation.
I was a bit shook after that...understandably. We went about the rest of the night with some pretty awesome evidence. Overall, it was an interesting night. I definitely want to go back, but I want to go back and rent out the place ourselves. Not have so many people in there.
We left there, and went out for a drink. A few of us partied a little harder than the others. This lead to an interesting 4am knock at the door. But...we had fun.
We met my sister for lunch the next afternoon. She drove a bit to meet us at a pizza place. We took her to a cemetery afterwards. She didn't seem in to any of it, but she came along. After that she headed on her way, and we headed back on ours.
It was the premier night of Walking Dead, so we had to be sure we were home in time. Walking Dead is a big thing in my house. Don't disturb anyone from 9-10/10:30 on Sundays.

For 2 weekends around Halloween, Christi and I volunteered to help out at a haunted house in town. A Halloween haunted house...not a real haunted house. The craziest part of all of this? I absolutely hate Halloween haunted houses. I am a baby. They scare me to the point of panic. I don't know why. I also don't know why I can walk right into a real haunted place no issues..but the fake shit scares me.
Anyway, it ended up being a blast. The first night we volunteered...we were made clowsn. Yep, yet another thing I absolutely hate. But...it was awesome. I had never done anything like that before, so it was an awesome time. We did it 2 other nights, and we were moved around to different rooms. I had the most fun being a clown, though. I think Christi would agree with that.

We went to a Halloween party/the bar after one of the evenings. We figured the bar would have people dressed up. It worked out perfect because were already all bloody and stuff. Christi put on some boots and a vest and went as someone who died in a mosh. I would like to pat myself on the back by adding in a pretty awesome extra little piece on her head...
Genius.

I believe in the last blog, I touched on how Christi and I had gotten tickets to see the Impractical Jokers Live.
Well, we went. It was awesome.
We got there early, so we hung out at the bar across the street. They know us there by now. We go before all of the Devils games.
We went inside when they opened the doors. We were both hungry, so we got some food. I left Christi at the table eating, and went to go enter in a contest to go on the Impractical Jokers cruise. While I was gone, Christi got asked if she wanted to participate in the pre show. I came back to her in a panic talking to the guy asking if her friend could join too. He said of course. Told us that we had 10 minutes to learn the song we were singing...and that they would buy us beer.
We went on youtube, looked up what we were singing...and devised a plan. The moment came for us to do our thing, and it was amazingly hilarious. We didn't win, of course. But it was still awesome...and we got a free beer...and we will forever be on a Facebook Live video on the Impractical Jokers Facebook page. (I tried to get a link, but I can't figure out how to get a link to a Facebook Live video.)
The actual event itself was entertaining. The Jokers are as nice as you would want them to be. During commercials they were out in the crowds taking pictures and signing autographs. Joey Fatone ended up being there. The stunts were awesome. The punishment was hilarious. It was an overall good decision to buy those tickets. We had a blast...as usual.

If you know me at all, you know I love beards. I have always loved beards. I thoroughly enjoy that the thing now is for guys to have beards. It's amazing.
That being said, it shouldn't surprise anyone that I love Duck Dynasty. That's not just because of their beards, I have just always loved that show. Turns out, Christi does too.
We saw on Facebook that Willie was having a book signing near us. So we went.
He ended up being late, but that was okay. He was very nice. He told Christi if he wasn't under contract, (funny because they announced they were stopping the show the morning after we met him) he would have hair like her.

Adding to the list of random things Christi and Amy do...we went to a Gala. Yep, a Gala. A dress up and be proper all night long Gala.
Christi knew she was going to this Gala for about a week. Amy...did not. I got a phone call from Christi about about 3pm the day of the Gala. Christi found out she could bring someone with her...naturally she asks me. The only problem was that I was at work...and I needed to be ready in like 2 hours...for a GALA.
I left work at 3:30 and flew home. I ran inside in a panic. I don't own anything super fancy. I have a bunch of dresses, yes. But, I don't own anything floor length or super dressy. I went with the dressiest looking dress I had. I slapped some makeup on my face and put my hair up in something nice.
Christi picked me up, and off we went.
The Gala was to support a college. The culinary school made all of the food. It was interesting. It was 2 floors. They opened up the classrooms (which were kitchens) and each one had a different theme. The students were there serving you everything. It was all hors d'oeuvres.
We then sat in a big room for dessert and some awards and speeches. It was overall an interesting, but fun night.

Of course we can only stay classy for so long.

Remember that Devils game I said I won tickets to? It was a blast. Our friend Sloan did come with us, and he loved it. They had people dressed up as Star Wars characters. They had Star Wars themed games. They played videos. They had music. It was overall a fun night...even though the Devils lost.

I like to hide behind things.

For real this time, I think we are finally hitting a time where we can just relax. I am sure the new year will being some awesome adventures. We already have some things planned for the summer. I look forward to 2017.

Let the good times roll.

The weekend we cant believe we survived

Welcome back all.  As I'm sure you can guess this will be another discussion involving alcohol, friends and fun.  We're just going to flash back to a very fun weekend to hopefully give you a laugh.  This one is a bit lengthy though (it is a whole weekend worth of events), sit back and enjoy the ride.  Disclaimer: the names of some people have been changed to protect their identity.  So todays chat chit will be about one of my favorite things in the whole wide world... Halloween *insert ghoulish laugh here*.

Ok so for those of you who know me I love all things Halloween.  If you don't, it's more of a lifestyle than just a holiday in my world.  I love all things dark, creepy, spooky, etc.  You get the picture, I'm sure.  I go over the top with decorating and it can be quite an elaborate process.  Ok so back to the point of this post.  Amy's birthday is only a few days before Halloween, and she does not like to go any haunted attractions, real haunted places no problem, clowns popping out big ol' nope.  She was dating this guys who decided to enlist me in throwing her a zombie/ghost birthday party.  This was sooooo out of character for him so I was beyond willing to do this with him.  So I recruit some other friends to help this process and the planning begins.  Little by little we start working on this mind you it is the beginning of September.

The location: My Backyard
The date: October 30th
The prep time: Almost 2 months
Biggest regret: No one took pictures of how awesome my house looked

This is where things get interesting... the break up.  The middle of September the relationship is over.  We decide fuck him she deserves this party, and dammit its going to be awesome. So a surprise it shall remain.  Well, not quite, he decided to tell her that he had planned all this.  So now Amy is helping.  Weekends, after work and any time we had got poured into this party.  Also a lot of beer got poured into our stomachs.  I cant even guess how many 30 packs were involved in this process as well. But after all was said and done the place looked so bad ass.  So finally it's time to party.  Of course its freezing out, so naturally we light the fire and the guests start to arrive.  The only rule of the night: when Shots by LMFAO is played everyone had to take shots.  The beer pong on the coffin table begins, the antics begin (somehow I was lifted in a chair) that didn't last long.  Finally its piñata time.  But in true fashion, the piñata doesn't have candy inside, now I'm sure your thinking to yourselves " but Christi what else could you have possibly filled it with?" excellent question.  The answer my friends is...airplane bottles.  You read that right tiny bottles filled with alcohol.  Best idea ever.  Worst idea ever, drinking whatever green concoction I grabbed and the other random bottle of god knows what.  We had an awesome night and everything finally shut down around 3:30 am.

So the next day rolls around and what do we do?  Get up get our shit together and head to Rahway for a zombie pub crawl. Day 2 of heavy drinking Bring. It. On.  So we get to the hotel room, start drinking, start putting our make up on and prepare to head to the bars.  The first bar has karaoke so of course we are psyched.  We do a few songs and move on to the next place.  We keep on going and the one bar had a really cool cover band I want to say Off the Wagon but I'm not positive.  They were so much fun we got to dance and drink but to the next stop we go.  Then the shots started and the night went down hill quickly from there.  We finish the bar crawl and go back to the bar with karaoke.  Our friend we will call him Steve did the most epic drunken rendition of Kryptonite you will ever hear.  Finally Amy and I were done our bodies could not take in any more alcohol.  We drank so much our lips were chapped.  So back to the hotel we go.  Drunky McDrunk Steve got in the front seat of an Uber to direct him to the hotel. Not good.  He gave totally wrong directions ended up putting us on the wrong side of the building so we had to cross a fresh cut lawn and hop a construction fence.  Finally we get back to the room and Steve starts ripping the living room apart screaming about people sleeping in there.  Also screams no touching while I sleep and proceeds to starfish himself on the bed.  The next morning Amy needed to be explained to why she was covered in grass.  A lot of laughing happened towards Steve since he never gets that way.  Well thanks for the patience of this long story.  We had a blast hope you enjoyed.

Stay classy my friends,

Christi

HEEEELLLLLOOOOOO

Hope everyone is doing well on this fine Thursday.

Today...I am going to tell you about the time I almost killed Christi with my vag. Yep.
But let me start this one from the beginning.

After we met Norman Reedus, we really became instant friends. We started hanging out all the time. And come summer...we decided we needed to go to this water park up near where Christi has a lake house. We both had gone there as kids, and hadn't been there since. (Tomahawk Lake. Pretty kick ass little water park)
It ended up just being the 2 of us...because well boys suck. I'm actually happy it was just us...we had a blast.
We got up early and headed out. We figured the earlier we got there, the better. It was a good call because it started to get crowded towards the afternoon.
Christi drove, but we had her mom's car. Our plan was to spend the morning/afternoon there, then stop by her Aunt and Uncle's house in the evening for dinner.

Because we got to the lake so early, we could pretty much walk up and on to any water slide without a wait. We did all of them once, then just did the ones we wanted to again.
We went down this one that is basically a black tunnel in a tube where the both of us could go. The first time we went down, Christi hit the water so hard she blew one of her plugs in her ears out. The next time we went down, it was almost disastrous. Now...I am bigger than Christi. This is no secret. So, naturally, I was on the back of the tube and she was on the front. The first time we went down, she was launched out of the tube...hence the losing of the plug. The second time we went down, she was sucked under. We hit the water and the front of the tube immediately went under the water. Because the front of the tube went under, I was basically flipped up and forward and came down on top of her. When she went to try and come up to the top of the water for air, she came up right in my crotch...right in the vag. She panicked. I panicked. (This is a theme. Always panic) When she finally surfaced she was so mad, haha. To this day she tells people that my vag tried to murder her.

After that whole incident, the tiki bar was open so we headed that way. We learned that they allow you to walk around with your alcohol. Yep. Water slides and alcohol. It's perfect really.

(Notice the plug missing from her ear.)

We had a few drinks, rode the slides a few more times and then decided it was time to pack up and head over to her Aunt and Uncle's house.
When we got back to our locker to get out stuff, we realized that our phones didn't have signal all day, so they were dead. We got back to the car and then quickly realized that our GPS was also dead. We plugged in a charger in the car, and realized that the cigarette lighter didn't work. So we had no form of GPS, and no form of communication. Christi wasn't 100% sure where we were going, but we decided we would wing it.
While we were driving around all of these back roads, I really had to pee.
(Now...if any of you had ever drank with me...you know I have to pee every 6 minutes. Even if  just sip a beer, I'm peeing. That's not an exaggeration. It's come to the point that my friends keep track of how many times I go. When we used to frequent a local bar, the bartender used to leave a beer on the back of the toilet in the bathroom because I was a frequent visitor of the toilet.)
I decided that it was better to pull over and pee, than to pee my pants. Good decision, right? Well, Christi didn't pull over when I said I was doing this, so I took matters in to my own hands and pulled the wheel and pulled us over. Now...looking back on this...it probably wasn't the best idea. But, we survived...and I got to pee. That's really all that matters.
After the pee incident, we decided that we really had no idea where we were. We found a little strip mall with a liquor store and a Subway. Christi had to pee now (see, I'm not the only one) so we went in to Subway. I got us this little pizza from Subway while she peed. We then walked to the liquor store, bought a few beers and got back in the car.
We ate the pizza while we decided what to do. The pizza was cold and gross. Don't ever order pizza from Subway.
Christi came up the genius idea of going back a few miles and stopping at the Verizon Store we saw. Genius. I know.
We found the store, and they were nice enough to let us plug in a phone so it could charge enough for us to call her Aunt.
Once we had called her Aunt to come and get us, we sat in the parking lot and opened a beer. We deserved it...c'mon.
Her Aunt got there, we threw out the opened beers (we aren't THAT bad) and followed her back to her house. Ends up, we were like 2 minutes away. Literally only a few blocks. I guess we weren't that lost after all.

It was a long day...but really a day I will never forget. It was the first real adventure we had gone on as friends. (After we realized we needed to be friends because of Norman Reedus)

First adventure of many. We go through times where we don't have any free days, and we both sit there like jeez we plan too much. Then we have a few days where we don't have anything going on, and we sit there like jeez we don't plan enough.
This summer is turning out to be pretty epic. We have been super busy, but we have done so much.

Keep checking back. We will be posting new adventures as they happen!

Let the good times roll.

Circle Time.

Welcome back boys and girls!
Everyone take a seat on the circle carpet, and Amy will begin story time.
Today, I have a story of something I am very proud of.

No...seriously though...I am going to tell you all about something that I think I will forever be proud of.

If you all haven't realized by now, basically anything either one of us is invited to...it is basically assumed the other is coming.
My "Aunt" was getting married this March...naturally Christi was my date to the wedding. I am not always invited places with a "date" because...well...I'm very much single. But, it is pretty well known that Christi and are quite a fun pair when together...so that gets me a "date". (This is where #NotLesbians comes in to play)

Anyway...where was I...oh yes...my "Aunt" is getting married.
One day while at work I got this genius idea of HEY you guys can TOTALLY learn the Evolution of Dance video and do it at the wedding! (If you haven't seen this...go on YouTube and search for "Evolution of Dance'. I'll wait.....)
I brought it up to Christi (while we were having a few cocktails) and naturally we thought it would be way better if we came up with our own dance. Sounds easy...right?
We started by writing down all the songs we could think of that we would want to do. We had WAY too many songs on the list, but figured we would figure out what dances we could actually do.
We procrastinated...ALOT. We kept saying we were going to get started, and would end up with some beer or wine and just sitting there talking about it.

Once we hit about 2 weeks before the wedding we decided we really had to get on this.  I downloaded a program that was supposed to help me cut and paste songs together. It sounded easy.
We narrowed our list of songs down...after much bickering back and forth about dances and things.
It took me 2 nights to FINALLY get the song all cut and put together. It was pretty genius if you ask me.
We settled on starting the entire thing with "Wrecking Ball" by Miley Cyrus. All Christi really wanted to do was slide in on her knees.
We threw in 11 other songs.
Once we got the song together...we got to work learning the dances. It was about 2 weeks in my basement for a few hours after work. We told no one what we were doing. I'm not really sure what my parents thought we were doing there.  There was lots of music and yelling.

The night before the wedding we were really on crunch time. We were just finishing nailing everything down. We had to go out and get Christi knee pads...we realized that she couldn't do the Gangnam Style dance without her knees getting all bruised. I also had to make the tshirts we were going to wear and the ribbon dancer I wanted for Harlem Shake. They came out pretty awesome if I do say so myself. This is when the hashtag #NotLesbians came about.  A lot of people assume we are couple...and we figured that it was going to be really assumed when we became each other's date's to weddings.

We also decided last minute that we were going to have my sister and cousin come in and join us on Proud Mary. Then, for Harlem Shake, we were going to include all of my cousins to make it like a real Harlem Shake.

Fast forward...during the cocktail hour. My friend was DJing the wedding...so we had to find him to give him the CD of the song. We found him, and he said he was going to have us be the first thing after the first dance and all that jazz. He told us that once he announced that salad was being served...we should go change. Then after a few minutes he was going to announce that the dance floor was open, and that was our queue.

We got up when salad was served, and changed as quickly as we could.  While we were waiting outside the room, we convinced the bartender that we needed a shot. (They weren't allowing shots at this venue)
I walked over to the door a few feet away to scope out where I could run in...and before I knew it you could hear "...I CAME IN LIKE A WRECKING BAAAALLLL" and Christi was gone through the door.  I ran in just in time to get to the end and belt out a few words.

It took a song or 2 for people to realize what was happening. We got a pretty good reaction when it went in to "Gangnam Style". Christi had her knee pads now...so no knees were bruised.

The dance went well from there. I am happy that we did it!

It was a pretty epic evening. It was a super fun wedding...and I'd like to think we provided something that the bride and groom will never forget.

If you'd like to watch...here yah go.

Not My Planned Post

Ok, so I guess it's my turn. I'm Christi and I am also 28. I am her counterpart in this Thelma and Louise like friendship. Originally I was going to post about our first real outing as friends and this one time I almost set Amy on fire (don't worry we will revisit this subject). So let's get to the latest event, with a slight back story.

We have a friend who hosts this really cool, really fun country show on the local college radio station. We listen pretty often and sometimes after a few cocktails  (you will begin to notice this is a pattern) we like to call in with funny accents to request songs. He always knows it's us. So one night, a few weeks ago, he was giving away tickets to see Chase Bryant at the state fair. We decided to call in and test our luck. Well wouldn't you know we actually were caller #5 (I think that was what you had to be to win. I'm not sure again, drinking). So after excessive celebrating and laughing we carry on with our night. Let's just fast forward to last night.

We get to the fair after the rain, hit the petting zoo and check out the pig races. We decide to wander over to the stage and try to get good seats. We get first row and decide it's a good place to settle in. We get the chance to meet him before he played  (he was so much hotter in person) and still got our seats back.

So we sit back down and are just enjoying the show and then, he told everyone to come towards the stage and have some fun.  We get right up against the stage and are thoroughly enjoying the show (minus the desperate urge to pee).  He was great lots of energy and a totally good time.  Then came the total fan girl moment even though I don't know more than 2 songs from him.

During the beginning of one song he gets down on his knees and starts singing I assume some very sweet song.  And where does he happen to bend down you may ask? That's correct, right in front of me.  And in true fashion... I had no clue what to do so I just stood there awkwardly not knowing what to do with my hands.

Stay classy my friends.
Until next time ~ Christi

#NotLesbians

Well...hello there.  Nice to see ya.
We have decided to start this blog because our lives are a shit show. Yep. You read that right. A shit show.
Now, you may be thinking to yourself...but Amy...why are you happy your life is a shit show? Well, ladies and gentlemen, our lives are a shit show...but our lives are an absolutely awesome shit show. We have enjoyed (almost) every minute of the last 9 months. We have had some awesome adventures, and I intend on continuing these adventures.

Let me go back a bit. I will start by introducing myself. My name is Amy, I am 28 years old, and I am an alcoholic.

No, no. Just kidding. This isn't AA, this is just a blog. (No, but seriously...we may drink a little too much.) My best friend (Do adults even use that statement anymore? Who the hell knows.) is Christi.

It may not seem like it, but we have only been friends for 2-3 years. Crazy? It is. We say it was the universe trying to hold off the amazingness that would come once we became friends.

Let's start from the beginning.
Christi and I grew up in the same town.  We, actually, lived only a few blocks away each other.  She was a grade below me, so we only really just knew of each other through our school years. We had a few mutual friends, but never really hung out with each other.
We were lead to believe, for many years, that we did not like each other. I was actually afraid of Christi. Yep, you read that right. We look back and laugh about it now.

Our friendship all started when we were left alone one evening at Christi's house and had to have some conversation. We knew we both liked the Devils and Walking Dead.

Christi asked me if I would like to go to a convention and meet Norman Reedus. (If you know either one of us now....you know we LOVE Norman Reedus.) Obviously, I said I would love to go. Christi said she would drive, so she came to my house and off we went. It was a half hour car ride to the hotel where the convention was. The car ride there was awkward. We made small talk, but mainly just sat in silence.
When we got to the hotel, we had to by tickets to the convention because we only had our Norman photo-op tickets bought. We ended up cutting a huge line by accident, and there starts our awesome evening.
We found beer...obviously. Then we found this woman selling pretty epic glasses. Naturally, we needed them. She told us that if we could get Norman to hold the glass in our picture, we would get 2 free glasses. That became our mission.

We met the kid from Bad Grandpa before we went to our Norman photo. His manager tried to get us to come to their after party, and followed us all around. I think Christi even got his number.

We had our photo with Norman. It was a short 30 seconds, but it was the best 30 seconds. He gladly held a cup. He touched my butt, put his arm around Christi, and he was gorgeous. It was from the second that picture was snapped that Christi and I became friends.

We drove to the convention in silence, drove home best friends.
From that day forward, our lives have been one big adventure.
A lot has happened between now and then. Bad relationships. Different friendships. Drama. But everything has happened for a reason. We have spent this entire year just living life.

We spend, basically, every day together. This has lead to our hashtag #NotLesbians. Because we are always together, people have assumed we are a couple.

We are not. We are just 2 chicks that are having the time of their lives.

This blog is to post our adventures. We threw around the idea of a YouTube channel, but for now a blog makes sense. Maybe one day down the road we will be making viral videos. Who knows.

Let the good times roll.
