Do You Have To Poo?

Remember how I left the last blog with things were starting to calm down for us?
Yeah...apparently I lied.
Things have definitely calmed down a bit, but we have still had an entertaining few months.

It seems as though we have struck an extremely "lucky" strip of time.

Get your drinks and snacks. Bring me a beer, too.
Ya good? Where's my beer?
Cheers.

Okay. Let me go back a bit.

I had struck gold with getting free tickets to all of the Devils pre season home games. I believe I touched on this in the last post.
Christi and I had a blast, as usual. So, we decided we wanted to go to opening night. We had a blast year, so figured this year would be a blast too. Christi ended up being able to grab $35 tickets...that were ice level and at these pretty cool tables. It was pretty epic.

This is us at the end of the "red carpet".
Midway through the game, I spotted one of the Devils players (who seems to be limbo with a contract..or basically just waiting to announce retirement) sitting in the section next to us. No one really seemed to be noticing him. I hate being that person who decides to point out someone "famous" and then starting a flurry of madness. But, I said to Christi, whenever he walked back up to the top of the section I wanted to run over and try and get a picture with him.
Well, at the end of the period he got up. I basically flipped my chair trying to run over to catch him. Apparently, I really wasn't the only person who noticed it was him. There were a few other people waiting for autographs and pictures. He, however, was not in a good mood. He never actually stopped walking to sign...and he never said anything. I felt bad, so I was going to just let it go. Christi was not. She basically stopped him and was like "Will you take a picture with my friend?" He didn't say anything, but he did stop walking and posed with me. This is why Christi is awesome. I got to "meet" a Devils player I have loved since I was a kid.

Notice his "grumpy" face.

So, we walked out of that game feeling pretty accomplished.

After that, Christi and I remembered that she had a code for 2 free tickets to a game. I took the code and went on the site. I ended up deciding that all I was worried about was how close we could get. Since the tickets for free, I figured I would use that to my advantage. We ended up sitting 4 rows behind the goal for a game the week of my Birthday. It was totally epic.

Flash forward to that Friday, my Birthday. I get a phone call from a number I know is the Devils. Usually, when they call they are just trying to sell me season tickets...so I don't answer.
They left a voicemail, so I decided to check. Ends up, I had won tickets and a pre-game tour of the arena that night. Great birthday, huh? I get to pick where my tickets are, so I decided again we should just sit as close as we can.

Then, about an hour later, Christi ends up winning too. I take her code for tickets and get as close as I can again. We ended up asking my parents if they wanted to go and use Christi's tickets. They were super excited to go.
Christi and I had to be there early...so we went without my parents. Christi usually meets me in Newark because she works close. I usually take the train. Well, I end up missing the train. I decided that I was just going to drive because I had to be there at 5...but my Aunt showed up just as I was leaving and offered to drive me down. I got there on time, and we met the ticket rep who was walking us around.
He walked us around as much as he could, ending in the penalty box.

During that game, I ended up getting a text message from another ticket rep asking me to meet him at the top of the section we were sitting in. It ended up that I had won tickets for yet another game. This time it was for a game in December...that just so happened to be Star Wars night. We decided that I should ask our friend Sloan to go, since he loves Star Wars.
About 10 minutes later, Christi gets a text message. She is asked to meet a ticket rep at the top of my parent's section. She runs over there, then proceeds to call me a few minutes later. She had won tickets to the same game, but she was also being upgraded to a suite for the rest of the game.
I ran over to meet her, and we were walked up to our suite. Pretty awesome birthday, eh?

We ended that evening meeting my cousin out for some live band karaoke. It was pretty interesting. Definitely different. Way harder to do that regular karaoke. But..we still had fun.

After that evening, I don't remember what the timeline was for any of these events, so I'm just going to go with how I am remembering them.

We went to Christi's cousin's wedding. It ended up being really fun. We went with her parents, her mom drove. We ended up dropping her parents at the church, and driving down the road and sat in a bar until the ceremony was over.
We picked them back up, and headed to the reception. It was held in a fire house, and it was actually pretty awesome.
We were told we could go wander in by the fire trucks...so naturally we did...beers in hand.
I was allowed to sit inside a truck and hit the horns. It was awesome.
Yes...I wore sneakers. Of course I did. They're my "fancy" sneakers. They're sparkly.
See..Christi wore sneakers too. 👌

Another weekend was spent on a little roadtrip up to Hinsdale, NY. We were going to be spending an evening in the Hinsdale House.
Don't know anything about it? Neither did I, honestly. I hadn't looked in to it at all until I saw an episode of Paranormal Lockdown.
(Go check it out. Read up a bit on the house. It's crazy.)
And then our friend was hosting an investigation there. We try to go out and support our friends in anything they do, so we were in for a mini roadtrip and investigation. And it turns out that we were not that far from my sister (who is in Rochester) so we planned to meet her for lunch before we drove back home.

So...the investigation was on Saturday. We decided we would just leave early on Saturday morning and drive up.
We got to the hotel, checked in, and just chilled out for a bit. There was a group of 6 of us, not including our friend hosting the event.
Once he was good to go...we all headed out to meet the owner for dinner beforehand. We went to this awesome little BBQ place.
There turned out to be a decently sized group of people for the event. I'd say about 20.
We were given a brief history of the house and land...and then split up in to 2 groups. We ended up starting out inside, and the other group went outside.
Now...a lot happened that night. I know the world is full of skeptics. (I am a skeptic...I believe...but I question EVERYTHING. I like to call myself a skeptical believer.) There are things that happened that night that I cannot explain away....and believe me I would if I could.
The only one that I am going to touch on right now is what happened upstairs.

But before we get to that, I'm laughing right now just thinking about this moment. We were sitting in the living room doing a spirit box session. One of the people helping run the event started saying her stomach was hurting. She got up and walked over by the door where the owner was standing. Without skipping a beat...he goes..."Do you have to poo?" It was the most honest, and absolutely hilarious, question ever. We all laughed pretty hard.

Okay..back to what I am going to touch on...
There were about 10 of us upstairs. 6 of us were in this small bedroom. There were 3 of us on the bed, one by the door, one in front of the bed, and one directly in front of me next to the bed. Our friend was standing outside the bedroom asking some questions and trying to get responses from either a spirit box or through EVP. We were all sitting still on the bed. Out of nowhere my neck started to feel warm. I dismissed it for a bit. Then it started to get more intense so I started just saying out loud "My neck is hot." I said it 3 or so times...and then finally I couldn't take it. I said louder "My neck is really hot!" and that finally alerted someone. Christi walked over and told me to turn around. She looks and just goes, "UH SEAN!" and doesn't tell me what's up. Sean, our friend running the event, comes over and is like DUDE! Then proceeds to have everyone look and I'm standing there like UM WILL SOMEONE TELL ME WHATS GOING ON?! Christi takes a picture and shows me.
I know this world is full of skeptics...I know most of you won't believe this. I have ZERO explanation. I didn't touch my neck. I was sitting surrounded by people who would have seen me do it. No one near me touched me. I was wearing a hoodie...it couldn't have been scratched. My necklaces could not have done it. I really have no explanation. It wasn't there before I went in. And it ended up blistering a bit by morning.
Again...no explanation.
I was a bit shook after that...understandably. We went about the rest of the night with some pretty awesome evidence. Overall, it was an interesting night. I definitely want to go back, but I want to go back and rent out the place ourselves. Not have so many people in there.
We left there, and went out for a drink. A few of us partied a little harder than the others. This lead to an interesting 4am knock at the door. But...we had fun.
We met my sister for lunch the next afternoon. She drove a bit to meet us at a pizza place. We took her to a cemetery afterwards. She didn't seem in to any of it, but she came along. After that she headed on her way, and we headed back on ours.
It was the premier night of Walking Dead, so we had to be sure we were home in time. Walking Dead is a big thing in my house. Don't disturb anyone from 9-10/10:30 on Sundays.

For 2 weekends around Halloween, Christi and I volunteered to help out at a haunted house in town. A Halloween haunted house...not a real haunted house. The craziest part of all of this? I absolutely hate Halloween haunted houses. I am a baby. They scare me to the point of panic. I don't know why. I also don't know why I can walk right into a real haunted place no issues..but the fake shit scares me.
Anyway, it ended up being a blast. The first night we volunteered...we were made clowsn. Yep, yet another thing I absolutely hate. But...it was awesome. I had never done anything like that before, so it was an awesome time. We did it 2 other nights, and we were moved around to different rooms. I had the most fun being a clown, though. I think Christi would agree with that.

We went to a Halloween party/the bar after one of the evenings. We figured the bar would have people dressed up. It worked out perfect because were already all bloody and stuff. Christi put on some boots and a vest and went as someone who died in a mosh. I would like to pat myself on the back by adding in a pretty awesome extra little piece on her head...
Genius.

I believe in the last blog, I touched on how Christi and I had gotten tickets to see the Impractical Jokers Live.
Well, we went. It was awesome.
We got there early, so we hung out at the bar across the street. They know us there by now. We go before all of the Devils games.
We went inside when they opened the doors. We were both hungry, so we got some food. I left Christi at the table eating, and went to go enter in a contest to go on the Impractical Jokers cruise. While I was gone, Christi got asked if she wanted to participate in the pre show. I came back to her in a panic talking to the guy asking if her friend could join too. He said of course. Told us that we had 10 minutes to learn the song we were singing...and that they would buy us beer.
We went on youtube, looked up what we were singing...and devised a plan. The moment came for us to do our thing, and it was amazingly hilarious. We didn't win, of course. But it was still awesome...and we got a free beer...and we will forever be on a Facebook Live video on the Impractical Jokers Facebook page. (I tried to get a link, but I can't figure out how to get a link to a Facebook Live video.)
The actual event itself was entertaining. The Jokers are as nice as you would want them to be. During commercials they were out in the crowds taking pictures and signing autographs. Joey Fatone ended up being there. The stunts were awesome. The punishment was hilarious. It was an overall good decision to buy those tickets. We had a blast...as usual.

If you know me at all, you know I love beards. I have always loved beards. I thoroughly enjoy that the thing now is for guys to have beards. It's amazing.
That being said, it shouldn't surprise anyone that I love Duck Dynasty. That's not just because of their beards, I have just always loved that show. Turns out, Christi does too.
We saw on Facebook that Willie was having a book signing near us. So we went.
He ended up being late, but that was okay. He was very nice. He told Christi if he wasn't under contract, (funny because they announced they were stopping the show the morning after we met him) he would have hair like her.

Adding to the list of random things Christi and Amy do...we went to a Gala. Yep, a Gala. A dress up and be proper all night long Gala.
Christi knew she was going to this Gala for about a week. Amy...did not. I got a phone call from Christi about about 3pm the day of the Gala. Christi found out she could bring someone with her...naturally she asks me. The only problem was that I was at work...and I needed to be ready in like 2 hours...for a GALA.
I left work at 3:30 and flew home. I ran inside in a panic. I don't own anything super fancy. I have a bunch of dresses, yes. But, I don't own anything floor length or super dressy. I went with the dressiest looking dress I had. I slapped some makeup on my face and put my hair up in something nice.
Christi picked me up, and off we went.
The Gala was to support a college. The culinary school made all of the food. It was interesting. It was 2 floors. They opened up the classrooms (which were kitchens) and each one had a different theme. The students were there serving you everything. It was all hors d'oeuvres.
We then sat in a big room for dessert and some awards and speeches. It was overall an interesting, but fun night.

Of course we can only stay classy for so long.

Remember that Devils game I said I won tickets to? It was a blast. Our friend Sloan did come with us, and he loved it. They had people dressed up as Star Wars characters. They had Star Wars themed games. They played videos. They had music. It was overall a fun night...even though the Devils lost.

I like to hide behind things.

For real this time, I think we are finally hitting a time where we can just relax. I am sure the new year will being some awesome adventures. We already have some things planned for the summer. I look forward to 2017.

Let the good times roll.

"IT'S IN MY MOUTH!"

Long time no talk. I'm sorry for neglecting you all. We have just been so busy with life and work that we haven't had time to sit down and give you all an update.
Well...buckle up.
Get a drink...ya know like a beer or whiskey.
Get a snack...or 3.
And let's get on this.

Since we last spoke, Christi an I have definitely had our lives slow down a bit, but we still have ALOT going on.

Our Labor Day weekend was pretty low key...for us. The only outing we really had was we drove down to LBI that Saturday to see a band play. We didn't end up getting home until...well the sun was coming up. We pulled in to Christi's driveway...and the sun was coming up. Now..mind you...I had to go in to work at SEVEN AM. Let's just say...I didn't sleep. At all.

I got out of work around 11, and wanted to try and take a nap...but that didn't work out.
Christi decided she wanted to attempt to do a power hour. I was all for it...although I was convinced we were going to die.

Well..we didn't die. We didn't even make it through about 20 minutes. We were both so tired that it just wasn't happening. (I would like to try again tomorrow.)

We, then, attempted some onesie slip and sliding...nothing out of the norm. Always entertaining.

No serious injuries to report this time around. Christi did hit her face again...but this time it was in to a soft pool and not straight into the ground.

The weekend after Labor Day we spent apart for the most part. What? Apart? Holy shit.
Yep...we each had some of our stuff going on...so we didn't see each other much.
I ended up out in Connecticut for "An Evening With Annabelle" which was actually pretty awesome. Highly recommend going to one of those if you ever get the chance, and you have any interest in the paranormal...or Ed and Lorraine Warren.

So back to adventures that involved Amy AND Christi.
We went to Rock Allegiance Sept 17&18.
This was my first ever 2 day music festival...and I think it was Christi's too.
In case you don't know what Rock Allegiance is (don't worry I didn't either until we decided to go)...it's a 2 day Rock festival just outside Philadelphia. There were 30+ bands that played over the 2 days. Some of the bigger bands were Alice in Chains, Volbeat Breaking Benjamin, The Offspring, Ghost, Chevelle Avenged Sevenfold,  Buckcheery, Motionless In White...and the one EVERYONE wanted to see...Slayer.
To say it was an epic weekend is an understatement.
We decided we were going to go Saturday to Monday. We left early Saturday morning to head down there so we could (hopefully) check in to the hotel a little early. We ended up being able to...so we checked in and changed and headed to the parking lot we had bought a ticket for. It ended up the parking lot was literally about a half a mile away from our hotel. It was still a pretty far distance from the stadium. We parked, got conned out of an extra $1...and got on the bus.
I literally do not remember what happened on what days. And, no, it's not because I was intoxicated. There was just so much that went on that it all blurred together.
What I do know is that on Sunday, we decided we would save $20 by just walking to the parking lot to get the shuttle. That may not have been the best of ideas. We had to cross a highway...twice. There was no sidewalk in parts. It was hot. It was just bad. We made it, though. And ended up taking a $4 Uber ride back.

Some of the bands played inside on 2 stages that set up on the field...and some bands played outside on the stage they had set up on the lawn. All around the stage outside, there were vendors selling stuff. They had food. And then they had a few music booths...and some places where you could go for signings.
Christi ended up meeting a few bands..and we both met Ghost.
Now...I had no idea who Ghost was a few months ago. One of my friends started talking about them...and I checked them out...and they're pretty awesome. When I got the chance to meet them...I was like fuck yeah. My friends will love this if I can get them CDs. I ended up being in the front of the line, and Christi was towards the middle. I met them..they were odd, but nice. No pictures of video was allowed. I got my CD signed and walked back to find Christi. She tells me that the guy in front of her is going to propose to his GF in front of Ghost..and that I need to try and get a video. Well...I did. It was adorable...and epic. All I know that is if I ever end up getting married (let's be honest...Christi and I are the presidents of the "Forever Alone" club) my man needs to do something super awesome. Just sayin'.
Christi also ended up doing some crowd surfing. Once was during Buckcherry outside. I had left her alone in the crowd in front of the stage because it was super hot, and there were so many people that I started to get panicky. So I went and watched from the side. I saw her go up...go a few feet...and then she was gone. She got dropped. I laugh about it now...but in the moment I was like shit. She survived...all is good.

On the second day...I ended up being the best friend that ever existed and got Christi a wristband that got her on the field in the stadium. Now..you may be asking yourself why this makes me awesome. Well...we didn't have field tickets. We just had stadium tickets. That means we were in the seats around the field when we wanted to watch bands inside. I was okay with this. I LOVE general admission shows..you know this. I usually hate being confined to a seat...but when you're at a show for 12+ hours...you welcome a seat in the shade. But..the day that I got a field pass got her on the field for SLAYER. She was over the moon excited.
We planned our day out...did everything we wanted...and got back inside 2 bands before Slayer. We found seats that were good...and set up shop.

When the band before Slayer was about halfway through their set...Christi made her way down on to the field. I watched her walk in to the crowd...then lost her. She was on her own now.
Fast forward to about 1 song left in the Slayer set and she comes barreling up to the seat...sweaty and exhausted. I am going to go ahead and assume that it was epic. She, again, crowd surfed...and hit the barrier. She had dudes around her asking her repeatedly that she knew she was in the pit for Slayer. She's a badass...she knew exactly what she was getting herself in to. And she loved every second of it.
I'm sure there is so much more to share about Rock Allegiance, but like I said...everything is all just jumbled together in my memory. I know that we had an epic time..that's really all that matters.
I took very few pictures that weekend....but we did take a Jack Daniels picture each day.

I'm not sure which one is better. They're both pretty hysterical.

We stayed in the hotel Sunday night after the concert, and took Monday off from work. We figured we weren't going to want to drive the 2 hours home after being at the show ALL day.
We woke up Sunday, and headed into Philly. We went to the Mutter Museum..which was pretty awesome. I would definitely recommend a visit there.
Then...we were in Philly. What else did we need to do? We needed to get cheese steaks. And we did. We made sure we wasted enough time at the museum that we would walk out after 11.
And...rag on me if you would like...but it wasn't anything to write home about. It was good..yes. But I wouldn't drive 2 hours JUST for a cheese steak.
When we were making our way back to the highway to head home...I spotted this really cool looking Halloween store. Upon me even mentioning what I was seeing...Christi was already cutting across 3 lanes of traffic in an intersection to get into the parking lot. You cannot mention anything Halloween around Christi without her getting excited. The store was pretty epic, though. Worth the near death experience.

The week after that...we helped my aunt out with a carnival in a town near us. You know us. We can't just do something without having fun. We decided that we were going to wear onesies. We found Ghostbuster and StayPuft onesies at Walmart..so we showed up in those.

We ended up working the games both nights. It was a blast as always.
We went to the bar for karaoke after the second night...and we went in the onesies. Surprisingly enough this is not the first time we have gone to the bar in onesies. Actually...that's not surprising. It would be more surprising if I said we didn't go in onesies.

After Rock Allegiance...we had really hit the end of our (planned) big adventures. We still have a few things planned the rest of the year, but nothing to that extent.
We have gone to a few Devils games. (Preseason for now)

We played Bean Boozled...which made for a HILARIOUS video.
(It gets hysterical after the 3 minute mark.)

We went to the Renaissance Faire. We went just the 2 of this year...which made for a stress free time.
It was rainy, but still a blast.

We also decided that we wanted to be pirates for a few minutes while at the Faire.

Who knew we could have THAT much cleavage?

We have a night at the Hinsdale House on our schedule.
My Birthday is this month.
We will be going to see a live Impractical Jokers event in November...which I am VERY excited for.

I'm sure we will have some other big adventure in there...before the end of the year.
Every time I think our lives are quieting down...we end up with 50 (exciting and fun) things to do.

Thanks for hanging out!
Just because we are coming to the end of the scheduled epic events...that doesn't mean there wont be epic events!

Let the good times roll.

-Amy

Thelma and Louise 2016.

Well, it's been quite a week.
Again...we said we were going to take this year and do what we wanted without hesitation. I think, as the summer comes to a close, we can say that we have lived up to that statement.

We decided to get in the car and take a road trip. Why not?
We figured we could drive as far out as Iowa. I have some friends out there, and we wanted to hit Villisca. Other than that, we really have no solid plans. We were just going to fly by the seat of our pants.
We did. We had fun. It was epic.

We left on Wednesday night. Figured we could drive straight through the night.
Surprisingly, it wasn't that bad of a ride. Went pretty smooth. I woke up pretty violently the few times I fell asleep, which Christi found hilarious. She drove until she couldn't, then I took over.

We stopped at this part of a cemetary outside Chicago called Showmen's Rest. Apparently, It is an entire plot of graves dedicated to Circus performers. It was started when around 60 performers were killed in a train accident in 1918. It has since then grown to be 750 plots. It was pretty cool.

We really didn't have any solid plans going in to this trip. We had an idea of what was happening, but figured best to fly by the seat of our pants. Isn't life always better that way?

We got to Iowa on Thursday, and ended up staying by my friend's place. We spent Thursday night just having some beers and shooting the shit. After about 38 hours of being awake, we both crash pretty hard that night.

We woke up Friday, and took a little drive. We saw only 2 cars on our ride. TWO.
After our drive, we were taken for a tour of the real side of Iowa. It was pretty awesome. Amazing how much different life is in different places. I still think that I should have grown up in the country.

Friday evening we decided to go a dirt track race. I really wish we had this by us. It's definitely a fun night. I was amused by the front wheel drive heats. A majority of the cars entered were Chevrolet Cavaliers...which I drove for 5+ years. I miss that thing.

After the race Friday, we got back on the road and drove a bit more west and decided to call it a night. We were hitting Villisca Saturday morning. We got a hotel room, and spent some time in the hot tub before we passed out for the evening.

We couldn't get in to the Villisca Ax Murder house before 1pm on Saturday, so we didn't rush in the morning. We had some of our free breakfast at the hotel, and got on the road.
We made it to Villisca with 2 hours to spare, so we decided to wander over to the cemetery to find the graves of the people killed in the house.

Then, we decided to go into the center of town.
Now, I have been to Villisca before. 4 years ago, my friend and I rented out the Ax Murder House for a night. It was a pretty great experience...one I still talk about to this day.
When he and I went, though, I don't remember anything in the town being open. We drove in to the town square wanting to check out the museum we had seen on television shows about Villisca, but it was not open.
When Christi and I drove in to the square, it seemed like more things were open. The museum no longer existed, but someone had taken over the space and turned it in to an antique-like shop. Which was perfect, because we both love wandering around places like that. There were a lot of cool things, and the owner didn't price anything. He said just make me an offer. Well, neither of us are good at the shit...so we just wandered around.
Christi stumbled upon a table of animal skulls, and immediately wanted one. She caved and just asked him how much he wanted...annnnnnnd we ended up walking out of that store with a deer skull for $15.

Once we had finished at the store, we still have about an hour to kill. We walked around, but it didn't seem like much else was open. We ended up finding a little diner, and decided we could kill some time and get some food. It's funny how easily we stick out when we aren't on the East Coast. Christi has both sides of her head shaved...apparently that's not something you see every day in the mid west.

After we had lunch, we headed back over to the house.

We paid for our "tour", and headed outside. We had to wait a few minutes to let Johnny, the tour guide, finish talking to a group a head of us. Once he was done, we walked over to the table to he could give us the history of the house. He asked if we knew, and I said yes...I have actually been here before. I rented out the house about 4 years ago. And, I'm still shocked about this, he remembered me! He said he knew I looked familiar. Now...if you know me...it's weird. I don't look like I did 4 years ago. I went from dark read/black long hair to shorter blonde hair. But...apparently he still remembered us. Crazy.

2012&2016

Anyway, he ended up just telling us to go on in and walk around since we didn't need a history on the house.
It was pretty awesome. Just as I remembered it. It seemed like nothing had changed in 4 years. Still had the same smell. Now, don't laugh at me, but every time I smell older cookie sheets when they are warm...that reminds me of the Villisca Ax Murder House. Weird. I know.
We wandered around the house for an hour or so. Met a couple who had done an overnight only 2 weeks prior. They had captured some crazy stuff...so we shared stories.

Once we were done with Villisca, we got back on the road. Our plan was to hit this zombie burger place in Des Moines.

Now...if any of you know Christi, you know that she is in love with Slipknot..and Corey Taylor. They are from Des Moines. Christi was super pumped, and made a side comment about how if she were ever going to get a Slipknot tattoo, it should be in Des Moines. Once it was said, I wasn't going to let her NOT do it. She would regret it.
So...we put tattoo shops into the GPS and did some searching. The first one we found had moved locations. The second one we found couldn't take her right away, and the dude was a dick. The third one we found was awesome. The artist was SUPER nice. He even gave her a cheaper price because we came from Jersey. He was pretty pumped.

After that tattoo was done, (no, I did not get one too) we headed to the burger place. It was a 20 or so minute wait, but worth it. Christi got a drink that was delicious. Our burgers were huge and delicious. The atmosphere was awesome. If you asked me how I would decorate my house...it would be like this place. It was awesome.

(Yes, that burger has mac&cheese on it. Yes, the "bun" is really fried mac&cheese.)

After we ate...like a 1/4 of that because it was huge...we got back on the road. We were going to drive as far as we could towards the Cleveland area. Our plan was to meet up with Christi's uncle the next day, and he lives outside of Cleveland.
We ended up driving through a really rough storm. It got a little sketchy for a bit, but we made it out alive...obviously.
At around 11, Christi started to not feel well...so she laid down in the back and I drove for a bit. My plan was to drive as long as I could so we would have less to go the next morning. Around 12:30, I had driven passed Indianapolis, and was planning on going until we got back into the Eastern time zone...but Christi really was feeling shitty so we decided to call it a night. We found a motel, that wasn't super sketchy, and crashed for the night.

We both slept a little longer than we wanted, but got back on the road around 9:30/10 the next morning. We still had about 6 hours to get to her uncle, so we decided to just drive and only stop if we needed.
We made it to her uncle at around 3:30. We met him at this local biker bar. Her uncle is a pretty awesome dude. Long hair, long beard, covered in tattoos and piercings and rides a pretty epic motorcycle. But, if you sit there and listen to him...he is exactly like her father (who is total opposite of covered in tattoos and a biker). It was funny, and adorable.
Her uncle was awesome, and let us stay by him for the night. We had some beers and just chit chatted for the rest of the night. I got to meet all of his kitties, and even though I couldn't breathe it was awesome. They were all adorable. He has a cat that doesn't have a tail named Porky. Porky was awesome.

We woke up the next morning, and got on the road around 8. We wanted to hit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on our way home...and wanted to attempt to get there about when it opened.
We made it there around 10, so it was perfect. We were one of the first few people let in...so it was dead.

If you ever get the chance to go to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame...GO! It was AWESOME. I would go again in a heartbeat.

We had to leave our mark of course.

After we left there...we were on the home stretch. The last leg of any road trip is also the worst.
It was 11:30am...and all Christi wanted was tacos. Tacos tacos tacos. That's all I heard.
We found a Taco Bell right when we got back on the highway, but it was closed because they were doing work. Christi wasn't letting this go...so I found a Taco Bell off the highway like 10 miles, and off we went.
Once her taco want was quenched...we were on the road.

We made it home a little after 7, and we were both exhausted.
I passed out super early.

I had the next day off, Christi did not. But, I was up early regardless.
We had a concert that night...the last PNC concert of our summer.
We were heading down to see Rob Zombie and Korn.
Now...you would think we would be so sick of each other we would want nothing to do with each other when we got home. Surprisingly enough, we were good. I guess that's a sign of a good friendship.
I drove, though, so we didn't have to spend another hour and a half in her truck. THAT may have put us over the edge.

The concert was awesome....as we knew it would be. It was a super epic way to end a super epic week.

If you stuck around until the end of this...yay! You rock!

Stay tuned for more awesome adventures.
Just because summer is over...doesn't mean our epic adventures will stop. We still have a lot planned!

Let the good times roll!
